The members of the Board must be over twenty-one (21) years of age, citizens of the United States of America and residents of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico for a period of not less than three (3) years before being appointed. They must have the necessary academic preparation, have been admitted to the practice of their profession and enjoy good conduct.No member of the Board may hold an academic position, be a shareholder or belong to the board of trustees or directors of a university, college or school offering a program in histology.
