The Board of Directors of the Association shall consist of a president, a vice-president, one secretary, one treasurer, and also, one representative from each of the Senate Districts of Puerto Rico. These officers shall remain in office for a term of two years. The immediately previous president of the Association shall be a member of the Board of Directors until such a time as he is replaced by the next salient [sic] president. An optician shall be elected by majority vote in a general assembly to occupy said office among the members of the Board of Directors, solely for the first Board of Directors, because at this time there is yet no ex-president.
