Any violation of the provisions of §§ 580—580n of this title, or of the rules and regulations promulgated hereunder shall constitute a misdemeanor and shall be punishable by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500) nor less than fifty dollars ($50) or imprisonment for a maximum term of three (3) months, or by both penalties, at the discretion of the court.
