Any person who is able to show, through one (1) employer’s letter or three (3) letters from clients and a résumé, that he/she practices the public relations profession as of the date of effectiveness of this act shall be able to apply for a license without having to meet the requirements set forth in the public relations agent definition, pursuant to § 855(j) of this title. However, once this Board issues said license, the licensed public relations agent shall be bound to meet continuing education requirements, pursuant to § 859(e) of this title.Those persons who at the time of approval of this act hold a certification issued by the Public Relations Society of America or its equivalent shall be able to be licensed pursuant to this chapter, without having to meet all the requirements described in § 855(j) of this title.
