(a) To present a Criminal Record Certificate, be over eighteen (18) years of age, and have resided uninterruptedly in Puerto Rico for a minimum period of six (6) months immediately before filing the application, excluding sporadic departures from the country for medical, study or business purposes or for pleasure.\n(b) To hold a bachelor’s degree with a major in nutrition or dietetics from a university or college accredited by the Council on Higher Education, or by one of the national regional accreditation bodies and to have completed an internship in nutrition or dietetics in a hospital or institution accredited to give such training or in substitution to such internship, to hold a master’s or doctor’s degree in nutrition or dietetics from a university or college recognized by the Council on Higher Education or by one of the national regional accreditation bodies.\nAn internship shall not be required of those persons who completed their bachelor’s degree prior to July 1, 1976.\n(c) To have passed an examination offered by the Board on the subjects specified by regulations.\nThe Board shall adopt norms to guarantee that those persons who have not passed the revalidation

76.\n(c) To have passed an examination offered by the Board on the subjects specified by regulations.\nThe Board shall adopt norms to guarantee that those persons who have not passed the revalidation examination shall have the right to examine their answer sheet, obtain a breakdown of the score achieved, and to request a reconsideration of the grading of their examination.\nThe Board shall grant a term of ninety (90) days from the date the results of the examination are posted for filing any allegation in his/her favor regarding the grading of the examinations. The examination papers of those that have passed may be destroyed after the abovementioned ninety (90) days have elapsed. The Board shall retain the examination papers of the last three examinations taken by the person who fails for the purpose of expediting the abovementioned process.\nThe Board shall also establish a mechanism to advise the applicants about the revalidation examinations, the norms for their administration, the type or kind of examination, the evaluation method and all applicable regulations. To that effect, the Board shall prepare and publish a handbook with all the information concerning the revalidation
