Every person who as of the year granted by § 2309 of this title illegally practices the profession of real estate appraiser or who violates the provisions of this chapter shall incur a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished with a fine not greater than five hundred dollars ($500) or imprisonment for a term not greater than six (6) months, or both penalties, at the discretion of the court.\nHistory —July 31, 1974, No. 277, Part 2, p. 326, § 15; Dec. 26, 1997, No. 194, § 14.
