When the Governor approves a bill or joint resolution he/she must set his/her name thereon, together with the date of his/her approval, and file the same with the Office of the Secretary of State. The Governor, or the official upon whom he/she delegates, shall number each law consecutively, for each calendar year, regardless of the session in which it was passed by the Legislative Assembly, beginning with the digits corresponding to the number of the approved law followed by a hyphen and the four (4) digits that indicate the year of its approval. For all legal purposes and in all formal documents, laws and joint resolutions shall be cited as provided herein.
