The interns shall be high school teachers and university professors teaching courses leading to a bachelor’s degree. The candidates selected shall receive enrollment fees for the Program, room and board and transportation expenses and a stipend for personal expenses. During the Internship, interns shall work full time in the federal dependency designated by the Joint Committee. The period of Internship may vary for each intern depending upon the needs of the participating agency or congressional office; the functions of the position held by the intern; and the availability of the resources to implement the Program.
