§ 2-20-14

(a) In the survey and measurement of mahogany and cedar timber, there shall be allowed: (1) If the timber is sound and free from wane, two (2) inches on one side of the square, one inch on the other side and two (2) inches in length; (2) If the timber is wider on one side than on the other, the two (2) inches shall be taken from the narrow side; (3) If wany, two (2) inches on each side of the square; (4) For rot and shakes, there shall be an allowance made as the surveyor deems expedient, not exceeding one-half. (b) All timber that is wormeaten, very much rotten, badly shaked or very wany, shall be denominated refuse, and allowance shall be made for rot.
