§ 22-7-4-3

(a) It shall be the duty of this joint committee to name all new buildings, bridges, edifices and other state constructions. (b) To this end, the joint committee shall consult and counsel with the several agencies of the state and municipal government and any agencies of federal government and others that are now or may become concerned with, or responsible for the naming of any or all new buildings, bridges, edifices, and other state constructions. (c) The joint committee is authorized to assist and cooperate with those state and other agencies concerned with the naming of any or all new buildings, bridges, edifices, and other state constructions.
