§ 23-17-19-2

The following words and phrases when used in this chapter have the meanings given to them in this section unless the content clearly indicates otherwise: (1) 'Department' means the department of health; (2) 'Employee' means an individual employed, whether directly, by the contract with another entity or as an independent contractor, by a long-term care nursing facility on a part-time or full-time basis; (3) 'Long-term care facility or facility' means a health care facility as defined in chapter 17 of this title, which provides long-term health care.
