§ 23-33-9

It shall be the duty of every owner or lessee of every elevator, or other device subject to the provisions of this chapter, to register with the department of labor and training each elevator or device owned and/or operated by that person, giving the type, capacity, name of manufacturer, its location, and the purpose for which it is used (freight, passenger).
