§ 27-3-2-3

This chapter does not apply to: (1) Those natural persons holding resident licenses to sell any kind or kinds of insurance for which an examination is not required by the law of this state; (2) Persons holding a limited or restricted license which is exempted by the insurance commissioner; (3) Non-resident licensees who must meet continuing education requirements established by the insurance department in their home state if the state of their residence, in the opinion of the insurance commissioner, accords substantially similar treatment to residents of this state; or (4) Persons holding a license for twenty-five (25) years and who are age fifty-five (55) at the time of renewal. Provided, further, however, that this chapter shall also not apply to any persons who had held a license for at least twenty (20) years and were at least sixty (60) years of age at the time of renewal as of July 3, 2004.
