(a) Sections 4-13.1-3 — 4-13.1-7 shall not apply to kennels licensed in accordance with the provisions of this chapter or chapter 19 of this title. (b) This chapter shall not apply to K-9 or other dogs owned by any police department or any law enforcement officer which are used in the performance of police work.
