In the event that any child is committed to the training school or adult correctional institutions, and the child’s parent(s) or qualifying relative are receiving or are eligible for aid to families with dependent children (AFDC) as provided pursuant to § 40-6-4 [repealed], Title IV-A of the Social Security Act, 42 U.S.C. § 601 et seq., and the rules and regulations of the department, the eligibility of the parent(s) or qualifying relative for AFDC benefits for the child who is placed in the training school shall be suspended during the time the child is committed. The department of children, youth and families or department of corrections shall provide a list or computer compilation to the department of human services, on a monthly basis, that shall identify the name, and if available, the date of birth and social security number of each child committed to the training school or adult correctional institutions, and the name of the parent(s) or qualifying relative, of each child committed to the training school or adult correctional institutions.
