§ 42-109-2

In recognition of the growing problem of substance use and abuse in the state, the purpose of this chapter is as follows: (1) To encourage comprehensive substance abuse prevention programs throughout the state; (2) To encourage cooperation between state agencies and municipalities in planning, establishing, and operating substance abuse programs; and (3) To provide additional financial assistance on a statewide basis for drug abuse prevention programs.
