(a) Notwithstanding the provisions of § 45-6.1-1, any person is permitted to pay any fine, in person, imposed for the violation of any non-moving traffic ordinance in effect in the town of North Smithfield at the North Smithfield police department in addition to the methods permitted by that section. (b) The North Smithfield police department shall establish hours and days during which fines may be paid in person. (c) The North Smithfield police department shall transfer all fines collected under the provisions of this section to the North Smithfield department of finance on or before the fifteenth (15th) day of each and every month.
