§ 46-9-22-1

The commission may suspend any pilot’s license for a period of not to exceed three (3) months upon satisfactory proof that: (1) The pilot took charge of a vessel drawing more water than his or her license authorized; or (2) The pilot has been guilty of any misconduct or neglect of duty detrimental to the business of piloting; or (3) The pilot neglects or refuses to appear, without justifiable cause, before the commission after having been duly notified to appear.
