Any investigator employed by a solicitor who is required to devote full time to his duties and receives compensation on a full-time basis shall be granted the police powers that are granted to a deputy sheriff. The investigator shall exercise his authority within the jurisdictional territory of the solicitor. Investigators who qualify to be granted police power shall be required to post bond and take the oath as required of constables. HISTORY: 1979 Act No. 170, Section 1.
