§ 13-19-10

There is created the Midlands Authority of South Carolina, referred to in this chapter as the 'authority'. The governing body of the authority consists of a nine member board appointed by the Governor, with the advice and consent of the Senate, for terms of four years and until their successors are appointed and qualify. Vacancies must be filled in the manner of the original appointment for the unexpired portion of the term. Two members must be resident of each of the following counties: Richland, Lexington, Fairfield, and Newberry. One member must be appointed from the state at large. Vacancies on the board for any reason must be filled for the unexpired term in the manner of original appointment. HISTORY: 1992 Act No. 515, Section 4, eff July 1, 1992.
