§ 27-29-150

It is unlawful for a person to wilfully violate any provision of this chapter or a regulation adopted under it, or to make an untrue statement of a material fact, or omit to state a material fact in an application for registration. A person who violates any provision of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, must be fined not less than one thousand dollars or double the amount of gain from the transaction, whichever is the larger but not more than fifty thousand dollars or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.
