(a) A foreign limited partnership may register with the Secretary of State under any name (whether or not it is the name under which it is registered in its state of organization) that could be registered by a domestic limited partnership under Section 33-42-30. (b) A foreign limited partnership transacting business in this State under a name other than the name shown on the certificate of registration shall comply with provisions of Section 33-42-45.
