The director of the department: (1) may, by order, require policy forms, rates, and rules concerning portable electronics insurance be filed with, and approved by, the director or his designee before use if considered necessary for the protection of the public, notwithstanding another provision of law; and (2) may promulgate regulations necessary to implement the provisions of this chapter.
