This chapter is known as the 'South Carolina Gasoline, Lubricating Oils, and Other Petroleum Products Act'. This chapter promotes and protects the public health, safety, and welfare by ensuring that petroleum products: (1) are labeled and posted in a manner consistent with the principal of truth-in-labeling; (2) meet or exceed minimum standards of quality as set out in the American Society of Testing and Materials Manual.
