§ 40-29-210

(A) As a condition of licensure, an applicant shall submit to an examination which must be conducted by the board or its designated test provider. The applicant must receive a passing grade on the examination, in accordance with a cut-score determination established by the department. An applicant who fails an examination may reapply. (B) The department or test provider is authorized to collect and retain reasonable examination fees, to be promulgated in regulation. An applicant for an examination to be conducted by a test provider shall pay the fee directly to the test provider. (C) No license may be issued to a manufactured home dealer unless the board is satisfied that the authorized official, stockholder, copartner, or manufactured home salesman authorized to sell by authority of the dealer license has passed the appropriate examination. (D) No manufactured home retail dealer or salesperson, contractor, installer, or repairer may be issued a license until the person or representative of the entity successfully completes any training prescribed by the board.
