§ 40-69-200

(A) A person who practices or offers to practice veterinary medicine or veterinary technology in violation of this chapter, or who knowingly presents to or files false information with the board for the purpose of obtaining a license, is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, must be fined not less than five hundred dollars or more than twenty-five hundred dollars or imprisoned for not less than thirty days. Each act of unlawful practice constitutes a separate offense. (B) A person performing acts as a licensed veterinary technician in compliance with this chapter may not be deemed to be engaging in the practice of veterinary medicine.
