There is established within the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs the South Carolina Head and Spinal Cord Injury Service Delivery System. The system shall operate as a division of the department to be known as the Head and Spinal Cord Injury Division. The department must develop, coordinate, and enhance the delivery of services to persons with head and spinal cord injuries. The department must coordinate case management services provided pursuant to this article with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation. Services provided pursuant to this article supplement and do not supplant existing services or the development of new services. HISTORY: 1993 Act No. 159, Section 1; 1993 Act No. 181, Section 1103.
