§ 44-44-20

For purposes of this chapter: (1) 'Birth defect' is defined as structural malformation, deformation, or disruption, present at birth, as determined before or after birth. (2) 'Department' means the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control. HISTORY: 2004 Act No. 281, Section 1, eff May 11, 2004.
