A person violating any provision of this chapter, or the provisions of the Southern Interstate Dairy Compact, or any rule or regulation adopted pursuant to either this chapter or the compact, is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, may be punished by a fine of not less than one thousand dollars nor more than five thousand dollars or by imprisonment for a term of not more than one year, or both, for each separate offense. Each day upon which a violation occurs or continues constitutes a separate offense. HISTORY: 1998 Act No. 420, Section 1, eff June 8, 1998.
