1-19B-5. Annual special purpose tax levy--Approval by voters required.To achieve the purposes of this chapter, the governing body of any county or municipality may levy annual taxes therefor as a special purpose, in addition to any allowed by the Constitution of the State of South Dakota. No tax shall be levied for the purposes of this chapter unless it shall have been first approved by the qualified voters of the county or municipality. Source: SL 1974, ch 21, §22.
