1-41-12. State geologist--Duties.The secretary of the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources may employ a geologist with an advanced degree in geology or related physical science as the state geologist. The state geologist shall act as advisor to the secretary in all matters pertaining to geology, hydrology, and natural history.
