1-44-7.4. Rules for intercity bus service assistance.The Transportation Commission shall promulgate rules pursuant to chapter 1-26 for the administration, terms, and conditions for the disbursement of money to the providers of intercity bus service and to establish criteria for the selection of such providers to receive funds appropriated for intercity bus transportation, in conformance with applicable federal guidelines and regulations. In establishing the criteria for disbursement of money under this section, the Transportation Commission shall consider the economic losses of operators providing intercity bus service as documented by a complete description of service and a financial statement of all intercity operators applying for the assistance under this section. The Transportation Commission shall also consider each operator's total number of miles traveled in providing intercity bus service in South Dakota. Source: SL 1993, ch 345, §10C.
