Section 11-7-22 - Power to acquire property--Eminent domain power

Power to acquire property--Eminent domain power.A commission shall have power within its area of operation to acquire real or personal property or any interest therein by gift, grant, purchase, exchange, lease, transfer, bequest, devise, or otherwise, and by the exercise of the power of eminent domain, in the manner provided by chapter 21-35, to acquire real property which it may deem necessary for its purposes under this chapter, after the adoption by it of a resolution declaring that the acquisition of the real property is necessary for such purposes.
