Section 11-7-49 - Approval required for initiation of low-rent housing projects

Approval required for initiation of low-rent housing projects.A commission may not initiate any low-rent housing project and may not enter into any contract with respect thereto unless the governing body of the municipality or the county as applicable has by resolution approved a resolution of necessity by the commission for the provision of low-rent housing projects. Upon consideration of the resolution of necessity, the governing body shall publish in its official newspaper one week prior to final action by the governing body on the resolution of necessity notice that the final action will be made.
