Forfeiture of office by legislator convicted of violation--Disqualification from public office.The conviction of a member of the Legislature of any crime defined in §§2-4-6 to 2-4-10, inclusive, involves as a consequence, in addition to the punishment prescribed therein, a forfeiture of his office and disqualifies him from ever thereafter holding any public office under this state.
