23-7-49.Petition for restoration of right to possess firearm.A person who is prohibited from possessing a firearm pursuant to the provisions of 18 U.S. C. 922(g)(4) because of a commitment or adjudication that occurred in this state may petition the court of the county in which the person resides for the restoration of the right to possess or receive a firearm. The petitioner shall serve a copy of the petition for restoration on the state's attorney of the county in which the petition is filed. The state's attorney shall represent the state at the hearing on the petition. Source: SL 2014, ch 113, §4.
