Assistant attorney general to advise department and commission--Litigation assistance.The attorney general shall appoint an assistant attorney general to act as legal advisor to the department and to the commission toward administration of this chapter. Upon request by the department or commission, such assistant attorney general shall represent the department or commission in litigation in which the department or commission is a party or has an interest.
