Continuance of case--Custody of child pending disposition--Term of continuance.At any time after the filing of the petition and before the final disposition of the case, the court may continue the case from time to time. The court may issue orders it considers necessary allowing the child to remain in the custody of the child's parents, guardian, or custodian according to terms and conditions required by the court or placing the child in temporary custody. Any continuation of the case by the court may extend no longer than three months between hearings.
