31-12-24. Supervision of maintenance work by superintendent--Payments from road and bridge fund.The county highway superintendent is hereby charged with the actual direction and supervision of all maintenance work in the county and shall keep a record of the costs of such work and certify to the correctness of all claims for such work, except for the purchase of machinery.Payment for maintenance work shall be made on warrants drawn upon the county road and bridge fund.
