Security interests created prior to enactment of statute.The provisions of the law then in effect shall continue to apply to the deposit, filing, refiling, or other record whatsoever of a chattel mortgage, conveyance intended to operate as a mortgage, trust receipt, conditional sales contract, or other similar instrument or any copy of same covering a motor vehicle, trailer, or semitrailer, made prior to July 1, 1951.
