Inspection of registration by peace officer--Possession of registration--Violation as petty offense.The registration referred to in §32-5-90 is subject to inspection by any peace officer at any time. The registration shall, at all times, while the motor vehicle, trailer, or semitrailer for which it was issued is being operated within this state, be in the possession of the operator.
