Registration of vehicle without safety glass as petty offense--Suspension of registration.It is a petty offense to register in this state a motor vehicle, except motorcycles, manufactured on or after July 1, 1953, unless it is equipped with safety glass or safety glazing material in all partitions, doors, windows, windshields, or wind deflectors. The Department of Revenue shall suspend the registration of a vehicle which does not conform to the requirements of this section until the defect is corrected.
