Saddlemount combinations--Compliance with federal requirements--Maximum dimensions--Violation as misdemeanor.A motor carrier may transport automobiles and trucks in the method of double saddlemount or triple saddlemount if the carrier complies with the United States Department of Transportation motor carrier safety regulations regarding double and triple saddlemount as adopted by §49-28A-3. No combination of motor vehicles permitted by this section may exceed seventy-five feet in length, nor exceed the width, height, or gross weight limitations fixed by statute. A violation of this section is a Class 2 misdemeanor.
