Power of local authorities to enforce law pertaining to motor carriers.The county highway superintendent of each organized county, and the boards of county commissioners in organized counties are empowered to act in their capacity as peace officers within the boundaries of their respective counties to enforce all laws and traffic regulations and the law pertaining to motor carriers, and shall have the same authority as is granted under chapter 32-2 to agents, patrolmen, and employees of the Department of Public Safety.
