Enforcement and supervisory powers of department--Investigations by secretary.The provisions of this chapter shall be performed and enforced in every part of this state by the State Department of Health which shall have supervisory power over local registrars and deputy local registrars, to the end that all requirements of this chapter shall be uniformly complied with. The secretary of health either personally or by accredited representative shall have authority to investigate any irregularities or violations of law, and all registrars shall aid him upon request in such investigations.
