34-29B-3. State fire marshal--Appointment and approval--Deputies.The state fire marshal shall administer and enforce this chapter. The state fire marshal shall be appointed by the department secretary with the approval of the Governor and serve at the pleasure of the Governor and shall operate under the supervision of the secretary of public safety.
