34-48A-55 . Search and rescue services--Costs--Limitation. The state, a fire department, a law enforcement agency, or a county-recognized entity that provides public search and rescue services may collect the actual costs of the search and rescue services provided on school or public lands or in a national park, national forest, or state park from any person for whose benefit the services are conducted, not to exceed one thousand dollars.
