Officers of armed forces and federal service exempt.Nothing contained in this chapter shall be construed to apply to any person who is qualified and authorized to practice any of the healing arts who is a commissioned officer in the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine Hospital Service, or of the United States Veterans' Administration, or of the United States Public Health Service, in the actual performance of his duties.
