36-15-46.1 . General Coursework--Credit--Promulgation of rules . Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, the commission shall allow credit for general coursework in areas not specific to the practice of cosmetology, nail technology, or esthetics, that is completed in other programs or institutions, to be applied to any course of study required for licensure under this chapter. The commission may promulgate rules, pursuant to chapter 1-26 , establishing criteria for accepting and applying the credit allowable under this section. Source: SL 2020, ch 159, § 1.
