Violation of law, rule, regulation, or order--Civil penalty--Liability for damages to environment.Any person who violates any provision of this chapter, or any rule, regulation, or order of the Board of Minerals and Environment is subject to a civil penalty of not more than five hundred dollars for each act of violation and for each day that such violation continues, or is liable for damages to the environment of this state, or both.
